Unwritten Bodies: Seen & Unseen is a live contemporary dance performance shaped by listening, encounter, and what the body remembers before words arrive.
What does your body carry that you never chose?
Which stories are visible, and which ones stay quietly under the skin?
What shifts when two bodies from different geographies meet—without hierarchy, without script?
Emerging from encounters between India and Germany, Unwritten Bodies brings together two performers, a constantly shifting space, and a third presence that moves like a living skin—holding memory, history, residue, and transformation. The work unfolds in real time through improvisation, sound, and movement, inviting intimacy rather than distance.
This is not a performance to be watched from afar.
It is shared.
You are invited to sit close, to listen with your body, and to gently enter the space as the work reveals itself moment by moment. No two iterations are the same—each showing becomes a living chapter, written and rewritten in the present.
The performance is created and performed by Purnendra Meshram and Rebecca Mary Narum, a choreographic duo whose collaboration began on the dance floor in Goa. Rooted in improvisation, Instant Composition, and embodied research, their work explores the body as a site of dialogue—where listening, decision-making, and trust shape the composition in real time.
