Anhad ka Baaja is an intimate evening of listening and singing along to the words of Sant Kabir.
Led by Priyal, the evening invites us to slow down and experience Kabir’s poetry through music—not only as something to be performed, but as something to be felt, shared and reflected upon.
Come as you are. Listen quietly, sing along when you feel called, and spend an evening in the company of music, poetry and people.
About Priyal
Priyal Maheshwari is a musician and yoga teacher whose journey bridges the worlds of science, spirituality, and the arts. After graduating from IIT Kharagpur and spending six years in the IT industry, he felt an inner calling to step away from the corporate path and dedicate his life to the transformative power of music and wellness practices.
Through his work, Priyal integrates music, yoga, and meditation as tools for healing and self-discovery. His approach helps people reconnect with the deeper aspects of their being and cultivate a more balanced, integrated way of living.
Alongside extensive training in classical music, Priyal has immersed himself in the oral traditions of saint poets such as Kabir, Nanak, and Meera. He continues to learn directly from Padmashri Prahlad Singh Tipanya ji, one of the foremost carriers of Kabir’s singing tradition from the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. These teachings have deeply shaped Priyal’s own musical journey, grounding it in devotion, simplicity, and the timeless wisdom of the saints.
Priyal regularly shares his music in concerts, satsangs, and community gatherings. He also organizes retreats and collaborative events with Prahlad ji and his ensemble, creating spaces where participants can experience the confluence of music, spirituality, and collective harmony.
Priyal has been a musician for the past 16 years and began singing Kabir bhajans four years ago. His journey took him to Prahlad Tipaniya Ji, with whom he spent two years travelling, learning and deepening his relationship with Kabir’s music.
While he has rarely performed solo, Anhad ka Baaja marks a new step in his journey as he brings these bhajans to Vinyasa in his own voice.
Food is not included in the ticket. Guests can place their orders with the Vinyasa kitchen before the event begins.
